How could i get my mom to quit smoking?

You can't: Thinking you can "get" someone to do something is the best way to think about it. It's great you want her to stop, but nagging won't help her - it just makes her feel guilty (and maybe a little mad). She has to want to do this. But, you should tell her why you want her to stop - for her health, right? Let her know you'll help her, when she is ready to try. You can call 800-quit now for more info.

Emotional/supportive: Tell her how much she means to you and all the family and how much a lung illness or smoking could interfere with her enjoying her grandchildren and quality of later life. That you will help support her desire to stop and obtain quality help with cessation trained expert. One of common reasons for failure is under-utilization of available resources and not having qualified person in your/her corner.
