Have it evaluated: There are different types of back braces. Each have their specific indications. Have your back evaluated by a professional and get a prescription for an appropriate brace for your specific condition. Often time they may need to be custom made.

See a doc first: Definitely agree with having it evaluated. Back braces are usually not as necessary or helpful for adults with scoliosis as they are for kids who are still growing. For back pain with scoliosis, other treatments can be more helpful and include physical therapy, and occasional anti inflammatory pills or cortisone shots. Check with a spine specialist first before doing anything.
