Transitions: Any adult is ceded the right to make decisions about their own healthcare, whether you or a doc agree with their decision or not. If an elderly person is judged incompetent to render such judgement, (a proceeding involving a county judge in my state) ,an alternate person is appointed to do so. Fault suggests you can change something about a situation,when you can't, there is none.
