Balance is best: Eat a variety of lean meats, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds, and especially fruits and vegetables. When it comes to fruits and vegetables, aim for as wide a range of colors as possible. Every mouthful of unhealthy food takes the place of healthy food, so think of each swallow of alcohol, soda, fast food, or junk food as a detriment to the immune system.
