Epstein's pearls: Small white or yellow cystic vesicles occurring in 65-85% of newborns. Caused during development of the palate. Not dangerous. No treatment needed. Resolve spontaneously over weeks. No painful or causing any discomfort.

Bumps or patches?: See if they will rub off with a cloth. It could be just some formula forming a white patch. If it does not rob off if could be candida infection. Need to show that to your md.
