Palatal pain: The kind of pain you describe, radiating to your tongue and ear, sounds like it could be neurogenic and inflammatory, and could be due to a viral infection in your soft palate, since you describe lesions on your soft palate. It could be caused by coxsackie virus, or it could be a case of shingles. Is it just on one side, or both? If it persists, please see your physician or an ENT doctor.
