Genetic vs. disease: Symetrical (both sides) arthritis at an early age suggests u may have an underlying condition like rheumatoid arthritis. Genetic factors can play a role. Best u see a rheumatologist to have an inflamitory arthritis ruled out and/or treated to prevent further joint involvement.
