I was on 25mcg of synthroid (thyroxine) for tsh of 4.5 which then normalized and now my tsh went up to 4.25 and doc moved me to 75 mcg. is that too much?

Hypothyroidism: I cannot really comment on your doc's actions since he knows you better. Logically after 25 mcg, one might be started on 50 mcg if the TSH elevation is not that prominent, but if it was way high, 75 mcg is also an option.
