Started synthroid (thyroxine) 7/18, tsh was 9.19 retest 9/26 tsh 11.25 after starting synthroid (thyroxine) breathing difficulties & rapid heart, doc wants to up synth to 88?

Thyroid problem: You may be having more than a thyroid problem, e.g. Female hormone imbalance or other. Ask for complete hormone testing and also more thyroid tests e.g. Free t4, free t3. You may not be converting the synthroid (thyroxine) which is T4 to the biologically active t3. Probably should ask for consultation with specialist e.g. Endocrinologist.
