Ludwig's angina: This is a type of skin bacterial infection under the tongue or the tooth or the gum the gets the tongue swollen and can cause breathing or swallowing difficulty. To evaluate, the tongue and under the tongue has to be examined and xr of the neck and the floor of the mouth may be beneficial to look at.
