DIFFERENT: These are very different problems. Cold sores are viral and trichomonas is a cellular organism. They require different medications.

Parasite vs virus: Trichomoniasis is an std caused by the trichomonas vaginalis parasite. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (most often hsv i but less often by hsv 2). Viruses can not morph into bacteria or parasites. Parasites can not morph into bacteria or viruses. So the answer is : no.
