No way: Macrobid 100mg twice a day, or Macrodantin (nitrofurantoin) 3x/day is standard of care. 50 mg 3x/day might suffice if ur very small , i.E weigh 80 lbs or less.

No: The recommendations for treating uncomplicated UTI would be Macrobid (nitrofurantoin monohydrate) at 100 mg twice a day or Macrodantin (nitrofurantoin macrocrystals) at 50 mg - 100mg but four times a day. Underdosing with antibiotics can lead to resistant organisms.
