Need more info: Coarse texture on ultrasound can be from several reasons, fibrosis or cirrhosis of the liver, or inflammation or infiltration of the liver, and in some patients may be age related. It would be useful to know if the liver function tests are normal, if there is a history of liver disease including hepatitis, alcohol use or fatty liver changes. The ultrasound otherwise is not concerning.
