Its possible: If your menses was jan 2 and you ovulated on 1/24, that would be a 33 days cycle today. I count cycles from the first day of bleeding to the first day of the next cycle (which is 14 days after ovulation). Not sure how you came up with a 42 day cycle. The pregnancy test becomes positive about 8 days after ovulation and the urine test will be positive around 14 days after ovulation.
