A member asked:

Positive opk 2 days after period, can u ovulate that soon, now i am on cycle day 17 out of 28 and lightly spot bleeding, what is wrong with my cycle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Most cycles of 28 days occur when ovulation is on day 14. Though it is possible to ovulate (and have menses) early, the most likely explanation is a false positive test and the spotting on day 17 may be a sign of current ovulation---in which case menses will occur around day 31. That variation is not a medical problem.
