Mucous: Not every cough or mucous is treatable with antibiotics. Loosening the secretion for ease of coughing and expetoration decreases all the effort. There are mucolytics and expectorants. Make sure you don't have asthma. Antihistamines and nasal steroid help the sinus drainage. Talk to your doctor and be treated right before you get all the complications of too much antibiotics.
