Sometimes: This is called a chalazion and is the incysted remains of the eyelids battle with a stye. These are benign, can be small or large and will occasionally go away by themselves, especially if assisted by applied heat. If it bothers you, it can be removed in an office procedure which does require a little surgery. Some also might inject it with steroid which can also get rid of it.
