Pain: Residual pain that persists after resolution of infection is often due to inflammatory changes that remain long after cure of the causative agent. It is possible that you have a residual focus of infection that has not yet manifested itself by the tests you have taken, but this is less probable. Give this a little time.

?? pyelonephritis: Was ct done with contrast? Could have missed pyelonephritis (pn), even if contrast was used, in absence of any gross changes. Were u on Macrodantin (nitrofurantoin) which sterilizes urine but does not get into the tissues ; thus no good for pn. Need repeat urine culture ; at least 2 weeks on an effective antibiotic as determined by bacterial sensitivities. Good luck.
