Consult military drs: Thanks for your service. The first thing i advise is consult with the doctors at your base; they should have ample experience dealing with ptsd. Unfortunately i understand that the military docs may be overwhelmed ; don't always provide adequate help. Please seek care at : Your MTF (military treatment facility). If you are in oceanside california that is quite close to camp pendleton. Usmc? You are also close to naval medical center san diego. Both have excellent mental health services ; most of their mental health providers are experienced in working with ptsd. Get help now before your ptsd gets progressively more hardwired in. Can be effective: PTSD support groups at vet centers often can be very effective. Combat veterans talking with other combat veterans for many sufferers of combat PTSD is the best way to go, in addition to medication and individual therapy.
