Can anyone give me a description of 'digital subtraction arthrography'?

Computer Aided: Dye is injected into the involved joint and images are obtained. Images of the same joint in the same position are then "subtracted" by the computer (the "digital" part ) which leaves images of just the joint with the bone removed.
