No, you shouldnt: It will increase the throat irritation and take longer to heal. You shouldn't chew tobacco without a strep infection either. You are clearly addicted to nicotine, and you need to decide whether you or the tobacco are in charge of your life. Chewing tobacco markedly increases the incidence of cancer of mouth, throat, tongue and larynx. Best thing to do is stop.

Pick your poison: Over the long term I don't think it will matter. As long as you take your meds it will eventually heal. I recall that one of the great baseball players of all times passed this week at 54.He was well known for his chewing. Good luck not matching his fate.
