Localized fungus: It might help to start with an antidandruff shampoo with active ingredients such as coal tar, sulfur, selenium sulfide or an 'azole'. See a doc if that doesn't work -for topical therapy such as lotions, gels or mousses that contain azoles, ciclopiroxolamine, terbinafine and/or butaneafine.
