You need an: evaluation by a mental health professional who specializes in this. Your family doc would be a good start but don't stop there. W/accurate diagnosis you can get proper treatment. Many adults have ADD and treatment and understanding helps. Peace and good health.

See MD: It is difficult to just say attention deficit when one is hyperactive. I was always hyperactive as a child, can't wait for my classmates to say their lines in plays and i say them sometimes, always moving, but i was always an excellent student otherwise. If i were treated i may not be talking to you today. See your doctor and discuss your problems but please say the problems, not what they want.

Have it evaluated: The treatments available for this disorder are often schedule 2 controlled drugs that require prescription and are monitored by state and federal authorities. A proper evaluation by your physician along with charted documentation of your history and problems are necessary. Other non adhd issues can have symptoms that appear similar.
