ADD is a challenge.: Assuming you have been correctly diagnosed by a professional, your young life has had many challenges; as you stated feeling different & not human, i would suggest meeting with a mental health professional to help you sort through issues & set priorities; there could be a range of other factors impacting your well being.

Expert Assessment: Diagnosing adhd requires assessing symptoms & their history as adhd behavioral symptoms overlap widely w/those of other disorders -e.g., anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, etc. Also, someone may be diagnosed wadhd and other disorder(s). If you haven''t had an expert neuropsychological assessment, i'd suggest considering obtaining one. This is the top-of-the-line ("gold standard") approach.
