Not sure it helps...: The medical literature is quite mixed as to the potential value of milk thistle in treating the liver. Lots of things of course cause elevated liver enzymes, & milk thistle certainly may be of little use for many liver diseases.Talk to your liver specialist if herbal products may benefit your particular liver issue. No need to question side effects & take something that has no real proven benefit.
