Sure: That is not uncommon. The breast tissue that remains, and the skin of the breast will have been greatly disturbed. Any impairment of the blood supply, as will certainly happen with the surgery, can affect the healing and recovery. If an infection should develop in the incisions of either breast, then the healing will be different as well.
