A member asked:

Please tell me, could a large lung tumor be benign?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not cancer?: There are growths in the lungs which when worked up need not be cancer. I have seen large tuberculoma, large granuloma, tumor like cyst from a parasite, and an involuted scar from an old infection. They may be more on the rare side, but can happen.
