It depends: If it's from athleticism, as for the photo guys, it's good. The bmi tables are subscientific and ignore physical fitness. If you lack both fat and muscle and this isn't your choice, perhaps you are already sick. The number itself isn't magic but it can warn of serious illness -- famously, malabsorption and maldigestion are often missed.
