May be: A piercing usually is self closing after you remove the instrument that cause the piercing, and if this is the case, the injury most likely will not show on the dental xray. You should not be worry if the bleeding is control and the area will heal up very well. Bleeding must be controlled. Otherwise, trust your doctor/dentist and do not worry.

Yes w-in X-ray field: A stainless steel object will show up on a dental radiograph if it is capture within the radiograph's "field.".
