Blocked duct: A blocked milk duct can occur at any time, regardless of breast feeding status, although more commonly occurs during breast feeding. If there is associated discharge and it looks like anything other than milk, must see your doctor to assess. If area very painful, skin red, sore to touch, may have developed abcess and this may need drainage.
