Means nothing: Hi. "Hormone imbalance" is a lay term, and means nothing to a physician. There are a bazillion hormonal systems in the body than can be "out of balance" to use your terminology. So, yes, docs in my specialty (endocrinology) treat many hormone systems that are damaged or defective for one reason or another. If you want to be more specific, we could give you more information.
