Good night to you. While cyclic BCP's will give you regular withdrawals ("periods") and at the same time, provide virtually 100% effective contraception if taken as directed, "hormonal imbalance" is a cumbersome diagnosis which needs to be clarified. If the doctor making the diagnosis cannot provide further clarification, see a trusted board-certified gynecologist.
