Yes: Yes, there is such a thing as mild vaginal prolapse. The fact that it was precipitated by painful sex indicates that you should have this verified by a doctor. Pain, trouble urinating, vaginal bleeding are even more indicative of the need for a look by a doctor. I know it's an inconvenience, but, if that's all it is, it does not usually require surgical intervention unless it becomes pronounced.

Yes: You can "wait it out" but you'd probably feel better if you had a gynecologist take a look. Prolapse can come and go but it's nice to be sure there's nothing else going on, and talk about ways to manage prolapse (if that's what you have).

Yes: Sometimes the vaginal and bulbar tissues get irritated with intercourse and can swell some, making them appear slightly prolapsed. Warm soaks and avoiding more trauma should resolve the issue.

Wait a little: Painful sex should not cause prolapse(type of hernia-vaginal walls lose support & the bladder/ uterus or bowel bulge into or thru the vagina). The vaginal walls can swell after rough or painful sex & may seem to protrude. The swelling should go down after a few days. On the other hand, if prolapse is already developing, it can cause uncomfortable or painful sex.
