Already have it: You are not immune since you have already acquired it. Once you have it you will always harbor the virus. You can pass hsv to your partners genitals. Hsv 2 is more likely to be acquired on the genitals.

Herpes: You are not immune to herpes and you can get hsv1 from oral sex even though you get cold sores.
