Lupus and bladder: Lupus is a systemic autoimmune illness with relapses and remissions. It can involve joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood, or brain. When it affects the kidneys, it causes inflammation and makes them unable to remove waste from your body. The bladder lining can become inflamed also, causing lupus cystitis -- with frequent urination, abdominal discomfort, bloody urine, etc.

Renal failure: Sle or systemic lupus erythematosis will eventually cause slow renal failure. Sle will act to attack the body or self. Over time the break down products fill the kidneys with waste. Ask your doctor if you can talk to a renal doctor for the future.
