We never guess: There is no statistic to satisfy your question. The only answer is to get a blood test. If there was no blood test prior to the relationship starting, if your partner is positive, there is also no test to tell us who had the infection first or even if either of you transmitted it to the other. Some people stay negative. But 25% of american's have hsv 2.

Virtually 100%: Your partner has been exposed to hsv 2 and almost certainly has been infected. Not all infected people have symptoms. See this site for more info. http://www.cdc.gov/std/herpes/stdfact-herpes.htm.
