Start with fluids: You need to rehydrate before you start worrying about food. The baby can tolerate fasting for a while but the dehydration is the problem. Don't even think about food right now and focus on fluids only. Those with a little sugar like flat ginger ale, gatorade, pedialyte will be better tolerated than plain water. If that doesn't work you will need to go to the er for IV hydration.
