I very much doubt: That any provider on this panel can tell you how many 24 year old women in the northern us have pinguecula. Suffice it to say that it is quite common. It is a benign growth on the conjunctiva.

No exact answer: It is unusual for a 24 year old to have developed a pinguecula. This would require a great deal of ultraviolet exposure. That being said a yound adult can sustain ultraviolet damage if they have many hours of uv exposure.

Most have them: Pingueclua are a normal response to wind, dust and uv light. They are the eyes defense in the middle years to these external forces. They have no symptoms and are usually unnoticed. However in people who spend most of their time indoors, they are quite small and frequently can only be seen with magnification of the type an ophthalmologist has. They are normal.
