Egg white cervical mucus means your body is getting ready to ovulate. This is the mucus most conducive to allowing sperm to reach the uterus. Since you have had a stretch of 6 months without a period, it cannot guarantee that you are actually ovulating. Talk to your Dr about additional imaging that can visualize an egg cyst on the ovary.
