A member asked:

What can be the reason for headaches before, during, and after a menstrual?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Estrogen: As estrogen levels fall, headaches are more prominent. Some women who have menstrual migraines, as they are termed, find it good to take continuous birth control pills so as to avoid the fall in estrogen and thus the rise in headaches that occur before the period. Talk to your doctor about these options if it's bothering you.
