I was recently diagnosed with two tiny pe. i have to have a colonscopy in 21 days. is it ok to stay on coumadin (warfarin) and be put under with the pes ?

No: You can't undergo a colonoscopy while on warfarin due to risk of bleeding, you can't even be on aspirin. Talk with your gastroenterologist. Pulmonary emboli are very serious. You would have to stop the warfarin before the procedure (not advisable) or postpone the procedure, or your GI doc may choose another way to examine your colon (such as ct scan), depending on why you need the colonoscopy.
