Irregular periods: Irregular periods are very common in teens. At 13, her reproductive system is not mature and she may ovulate irregularly. Sometimes parents get very worried when their teen's periods are irregular, and consider putting them on contraceptive pills to "regulate their periods". However, i don't recommend this because the pills have risks and side effects, and the irregular period is not harmful.
