Find the cause: Tinnitus is latin=ringing: in the ear is often a symptom, not a disease in itself..Causes include infection, foreign body, exposure to loud noise, eustachian tube dysfunction, nasal allergies blocking the tubes, multiple sclerosis, side effects of some meds, and currently common in the young is "ipod-induced" so, treating the above will likely resolves your symptom...Consult your doc..Good luck.
