Multiple problems: By ddd, do you mean degenerative disk disease? It has nothing to do with cortical sulci. There is treatment. A physical medicine and rehab, or pain medicine physician may be able to combine efforts to help you. Most neurosurgeons would be conservative, but consulting one may provide useful information. Your memory issues may relate to the xanax (alprazolam) you're taking -- alcohol won't help either.
