How to prevent ringworm in the hair?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Avoid sources: Ringworm spores are present in soil, on animals and on other humans. Good hand washing helps reduce risk. Never use head coverings (hat/scarf) or hair care items (combs, brushes) used by others. Make sure your hair care professional uses clean equipment.. Do this and you have reduced risk, but if you scratch your scalp you can plant spores at any point.
