Depends: If the infection affected your joint, you need to be followed for arthritis, get physical therapy and do home exercises. If the infection was related to diabetes or obesity, the treatment is to control your chronic disease, preventing recurrence. If the scarring is cosmetically bothersome, or just tight, seek a surgeon who specializes in chronic scars (plastic or general surgeon) for injections.
