No, but...: "farmer's lung" is a diagnosis made on history. Anybody can have precipitin antibodies against the bacterial spores that cause it. Keep your parrot.

Min. Exposure: Farmers lung refers to an immune reaction in which inhaled allergens such as spores form complexes and cause inflammation in the lung. This type of reaction may also occur with other proteins such as that associated with parrots. Since you already are being diagnosed and treated for lung inflammation, it is best to try to avoid high exposure to the parrot eg cleaning cages.
