Cow's milk allergy: As with all traditional "IgE-mediated" food allergy, they include mild itching to full blown anaphylactic shock. If allergic, straight cow's milk, Lactaid, ice cream, yogurt and cheese all provoke a reaction. Sometimes, however, cow's milk allergic patients can tolerate extensively heated cow's milk (casein) contained in baked goods, cakes, cookies, brownies; check w allergist first, though.
