They assist doctors: Medical assistants do not make any decisions and do not participate in treatment side of ca or any other disease or condition.They are trained to assist doctor in examining the patient, like checking bp, drawing blood, donig ekg and other tasks under close supervision of the treating doctor/doctors they do not provide medical treatment care.
