Yes: As a follow-up to your previous question and my response, topical steroids come in different strengths and potencies. 0.5% Hydrocortisone is considered a weakly potent topical steroid (class 7) and 0.5% a low strength and available otc. Should apply a thin layer to affected area(s) 2-3x/day. More potent steroids (classes 1-6) require prescriptions and more limited use.
